Celebrating World Afro Day 2020

Today is World Afro Day and I was invited to celebrate it (via zoom) with the children at King Solomon International Business school in Birmingham.

Thank God for technology! I was able to meet with all the primary school children from the comfort of my kitchen.

Here is some feedback from the staff:

“The workshop was great, very informative and educational. The children really enjoyed the book they were talking about it for ages after. It was really interesting and I would definitely recommend to others.”

Miss Shoker (year 4 teacher)

“The author was very interesting and showed a great deal of passion for her book. It was great seeing the children engaged in the story and they took a great deal of interest by asking her questions like what motivated her to write the story. I would definitely recommend the author to other schools as it was very interactive and the children loved listening to her and the story.”

(EYFS teacher)

“Wow!

What can I say?

Thank you to Sheryl for being so accommodating. We had a fab time! Sheryl was more than entertaining. She was extremely attentive and it was a pleasure to have her with us. We definitely would recommend inviting Sheryl into your school as we definitely will be inviting her back to our setting. The children remained engaged through the session and it was really interactive. We really enjoyed the question and answer opportunities too!”

(Miss King year 3 teacher)

It is always a good sign when you are invited to return before you've finished all the workshops. Forever grateful!
